Global Family Day, one day of peace and sharing, is celebrated every January 1 in the United States as a global day of peace and sharing of mutual respect and strengthening of the family community as the backbone of the most important thing in our lives. Global Family Day grew out of the United Nations ’millennial celebration,“ One Day at Peace, ”and is celebrated by families around the world regardless of whether it originated in the United States. Entering the New Year, and all that families celebrate when they are together for the holidays keeps the warmth and connection of people within their communities year-round.
