"Good bacteria are great!" – they said
Three classes of fourth graders from the school Oton Iveković from Zagreb visited our plant. Despite bad weather, the children, who have already learned that couple years ago all the wastewater from Zagreb flowed directly in the river Sava, were very surprised when they saw how the wastewater looks before treatment. But they must know that, before the plant was put into operation, the pollution from wastewater was at fourth degree.
After the children have guessed that our digesters were real rockets, we quickly explained all the processes in the 33-meter-high buildings. Our gas production, impressed the kids, but the microorganisms and their significance for our plant was the top issue among children.
Although it was not a day for playing outside, but for painting was it ideal. We were promised that the plant will be the main theme of the drawings.
