An excellent online program for children and young people of the „Knowledge in action” Foundation called - Karijeroteka, brings together more and more interested eighth-graders and high school students and preparing them for their future professions. Through a series of conversations / webinars with leading people from the world of economics, the career library tries to bring them closer to a particular occupation, the possibility of later employment, the most beautiful but also the most difficult things they can encounter with a particular job. Often there are questions like "Why did you choose this profession? What is the most interesting aspect of your work ?, How did your career develop ?, What skills are key in your job? Did you regret your decision? How important is the team?" etc. It was relaxed, interesting and instructive this Thursday when the chief technologist of Zagreb Wastewater Treatment Plant (ZOV), Ph.D. Marin Ganjto, was a guest at the Karijeroteka webinar.

Marin shared his experiences as a chemical engineer with many years of experience in the economic sector to all interested parties. As he himself pointed out, the work in ZOV, which deals with wastewater of the city of Zagreb with one million inhabitants, is a new challenge for him every day and, even after 14 years, he is happy to have the opportunity to participate in one of the most important environmental projects in Croatia. . Ecology is the future, and the importance of chemical engineering and water purification to be able to mitigate the effects of what we have produced as a population is certainly not negligible. Therefore, teamwork, timely response, monitoring of trends in technology is what makes ZOV a successful company whose results are certainly visible to the eye in the form of clean water that goes into the Sava River and returns the entire ecosystem to settings before pollution. Let's also say that the Karijeroteka program started in October 2020 and will last until April 2021, while webinars are always organized on the last two Thursdays of the month.
